Directions by car

From the U.S. border (about 40 minutes): I-5 turns into Hwy . 99 in Canada. Stay on it all the way into Vancouver. It will take you through the George Massey Tunnel, then over the Oak Street Bridge into Vancouver and on to Oak Street. Turn left on 41st Avenue, then right (north) on Dunbar St., then left on 35th Avenue. Four blocks down, four houses from the end of the street, on your left-hand side is 4080 West 35th Avenue with a squirrel sign that says Welcome.

From the airport (about 15 minutes): Follow the signs to Vancouver which will point you to the Arthur Laing Bridge. On the bridge, get in the right lane and take the Granville St. exit. Turn left on 70th Avenue, which turns into S.W. Marine Drive. After about two miles (three km) on Marine, turn right (north) on Dunbar St., then left on 35th Avenue. Four blocks down, four houses from the end of the street, on your left-hand side is 4080 West 35th Avenue with a squirrel sign that says Welcome.

From the east via Hwy. 1 (about 20 minutes): Take the Vancouver, Grandview Hwy., exit. Grandview turns into 12th Avenue. Travel west along 12th until Oak St. and turn left. Travel south on Oak until 33rd Avenue and turn right. Follow 33rd until its end at Camosun St. Turn left on to Camosun and left on to 35th Ave. We are at 4080 West 35th Avenue, the fourth house on your right with a squirrel sign that says Welcome.

From downtown (about 15 minutes): Howe or Granville St. will take you over the Granville Bridge. Continue south until 33rd Avenue and turn right. Follow 33rd until its end at Camosun St. Turn left on Camosun then left on 35th Ave. We are at 4080 West 35th Avenue, the fourth house on your right with a squirrel sign that says Welcome.

Directions by bus

From downtown (about 30 minutes): Catch the Dunbar bus (No. 7) heading south on Howe St. It will cross the Granville Bridge, travel west on 4th Avenue and then south on Dunbar. Watch for the big park and Dunbar Community Centre on your right as the bus starts going downhill. Pass one stop at 33rd Avenue after you pass the park, then pull the cord to ring the bell to tell the driver to stop. Walk west down 35th Avenue (10 minutes). Four houses from the end of the street, on your left-hand side, is 4080 West 35th Avenue, with a squirrel sign that says Welcome.

From the University of B.C. (about 5 minutes): Take the 41st Avenue bus (No. 41) heading east. When forest on your left gives way to houses, get off. Walk five minutes up Camosun St. or Crown St. north to 35th Avenue. Look for 4080 West 35th Avenue with its squirrel sign that says Welcome.

From the airport (about 50 minutes): Go to the Canada Line SkyTrain station at the airport. The trains go one direction from the airport, towards Waterfront downtown. Get off at Oakridge-41st Station. Cross 41st Avenue and catch a 41 UBC or 41 Crown bus heading west. Get off at Crown St. or Camosun St. and walk 5-10 minutes uphill to 35th Avenue. Look for 4080 West 35th Avenue, with a squirrel sign that says Welcome.

A taxi (recommended for those with luggage) to or from the airport costs about $25 ($30 including tip).
